Olukayode Oladunjoye, FCA, is an accomplished financial, tax, and accounting specialist with over three decades of professional experience across taxation, accounting, auditing, banking, investment management, real estate, logistics, and business development.
He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kay Ventures LLC, a diversified parent company providing professional services through its tax and accounting practice, Kay Shipping, Kay Real Estate, and Kay Fashion.
Early Career Foundation
Mr. Oladunjoye's journey began in 1987 when he joined Oat International Nigeria Limited as an Accounts Clerk, where he received invaluable training and practical exposure to accounting, financial management, business administration, and corporate discipline. He attributes much of his early professional development to the mentorship of the company's Founder and Chairman, Chief Nathaniel Olumi George-Taylor, as well as the guidance of Mr. Anthony Onoyen, FCA, an accomplished Chartered Accountant who further refined his accounting skills and understanding of professional ethics.
The mentorship he received instilled in him the values of integrity, diligence, discipline, continuous learning, and excellence — principles that continue to define his leadership and professional practice today.
Education and Professional Qualifications
Mr. Oladunjoye holds two master's degrees in Accounting and Finance from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria, and Brandeis University, Massachusetts, USA. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), one of the highest professional distinctions awarded by the institute. In 1995, his academic excellence in taxation was recognized when he graduated as the Best Taxation Student, receiving both the Chief Dele Dina Award and the Chief Anthony Ani Award.
Early Professional Career
Mr. Oladunjoye began his career in academia, lecturing Taxation at Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, between 1995 and 1998, where he taught and mentored students preparing for careers in taxation, accounting, and financial management. He later joined Magnum Trust Bank PLC, gaining valuable experience in banking operations, corporate finance, financial management, and client services.
H&R Block Tax Experience
After relocating to the United States, Mr. Oladunjoye enrolled in H&R Block's professional taxation course in 2004, distinguishing himself as one of the best-performing students in the program. He was offered employment and selected to attend an advanced taxation course, gaining practical knowledge of the U.S. tax system and strengthening his expertise in individual and business taxation, tax compliance, tax planning, and client services.
Deloitte & Touche
Mr. Oladunjoye subsequently joined Deloitte & Touche LLP as an Auditor, gaining extensive experience in auditing, financial reporting, internal controls, regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and corporate governance — while continuing to provide tax preparation and advisory services on a part-time basis.
State Street Bank
Mr. Oladunjoye later joined State Street Bank as a Fund Manager, gaining significant experience in fund accounting, investment operations, portfolio administration, asset servicing, financial controls, and institutional fund management — experience that further prepared him for the establishment of his own business.
